Job Seeker Services

COIC helps job seekers of all ages and experience with a variety of job-seeking services, including education and training. Most services are available at no cost, although some eligibility requirements may apply.

Our employment counselors work with you to reach your career goals, and we can direct you to other employment and support service agencies if needed.

We’ll help you organize your job search and learn:

  • What types of employees businesses look for
  • How to target your job search
  • How to take advantage of our job referral system
  • Which jobs might be best suited to your skills and interests
  • How to investigate current wages for a particular job
  • How to write a cover letter and effective resume, how to fill out an application
  • What to expect in an interview and get tips on how to succeed
  • How to use one of our computers to write your resume or search the Internet for jobs
  • Computer skills and common business software
  • How to get current labor market information
