At COIC, along with our WorkSource partners, we are committed to local employers to help build workforce skills. COIC offers employers a variety of services including Rapid Response, Career Readiness testing, On-the-Job Training, and other services. We offer the following to your business free of charge.

Rapid Response Assistance for Lay-Offs

On-site transition services and information to employees affected by a lay-off. COIC Employment Counselors and workforce specialists will be on-site to sign workers up for services and to answer questions. Rapid Response can be arranged with little notice in an effort to get information to employees as quickly as possible. For more info, contact Ann Delach at 541-317-2281 or email.

Rapid Response includes: Filing for Unemployment & Options, Career Planning/Assessments, Job Search  Workshop Info,Veterans’ Services, and  Trade Act Benefits.

Basic and Intermediate Computer Skill Training

Our computer labs are equipped with up-to-date software. We provide  weekly calendar of classes in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Or call your local WorkSource for more info.

 National Career Readiness Certificate

The National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC) is a valuable, portable certificate that verifies three foundational skills-Applied Mathematics, Reading for Information and Locating Information. The NCRC is used by thousands of employers, employees and job applicants as a uniform measure of key workplace skills. It helps job applicants stand out from the crowd, and assures employers that applicants have the foundational skills needed to be successful on the job.  On-the-Job Training (based on funding availability)

COIC provides reimbursement of up to 50% of trainee’s wages during training period with goal of unsubsidized employment. On-the-Job Training gives employees the opportunity to learn skills beyond what is available through pre-employment training. COIC staff maintains contact with both the employee and employer during the training period to ensure a successful transition. Click here for more info and availability.
